Week 10 In my college work I managed to get a distinction piece of work in Unit 1 Employ-ability, what I had to do was write a piece of work explaining techniques in communication, I went through 7 points of what you can do in a conversation, I evaluated each point saying what was good what was bad and compared it for example levels of voice, when was it good to use a raised voice and when it was good to use a lowered voice, I compared both of these in my work and compared and gave my opinions, I also put a conclusion on the end to give my opinion and end the document of work. I used skills that I learnt from doing A level history as I wrote a lot of essays and I used the skills of evaluation I learnt which helped me achieve the distinction grade.

Week 9 I took a train into Sheffield which is a nearby city to Worksop, I met with some people and we walked around town and through the Christmas stalls and into the other shops available in the town centre in Sheffield, I met someone new as I met up with a friend as well as their friend who I didn't previously know. I have shown improvement on my communication skills as my normal attitude to talking to new people would be to be quiet and not draw attention to myself, however I was more open and confident as I could talk to the person I didn't need to be self conscious. This shows my improvement since the start of my PDP as one of my areas for improving was communication as my confidence was always low when speaking to people I didn't know well.

Week 8 I have done a lot of drawing but on paper as my graphics tablet is still broken, I drew to help improve my drawing skills and I have drawn characters from games I have played, games like Cup head and hollow knight, I have also drew some rubber hose characters as its my favourite style as I like simplistic styles of drawing. I have yet to animate any of my drawings however I don't need that skill for the career I want but I will like to self tech myself as it would help me in the future giving me more relevant skills for my future desired career.

Week 7 I have been applying for a lot of part time jobs, this helps me get experience with interviews and also gives me work experience when I do get a job, I also get to keep improving on my CV which will help me with the future, having a job also prepares me for a job in the future and having the money can allow me to purchase things to help me with my college work and I can learn skills like money management. To apply for these jobs I have used: email, indeed job search, handing in my CV at places and getting told about job offers from friends. I had a job and have had work experience working at Wickes unfortunately I had to be laid off due to cut backs and so far been unsuccessful with finding a new job.

Week 6 On my week off I played games with friends online, I met new people on the games I played and I also took apart my computer and cleaned out all the parts to get rid of dust in the computer to help the heat problem I have with my processor, after I rebuilt my computer and got it running I completely reformatted my computer allowing everything to be deleted and this got rid of my problem of storage and not having enough, I then installed windows and only downloaded the essentials I need for my gaming PC allowing it to be more efficient and run smoother increasing my gaming experience. Having the knowledge of building and reformatting computers will help me in the future of game development as I will be using a lot of IT in my work.

Week 5 I have caught up with all my college work before any deadlines were overrun, I have done my work to high quality and not to the bear minimum I need to pass. This shows I am punctual as I finish before deadlines without procrastinating so my work is still at a high quality. This will help me in the future as my job will require me to work with deadlines and produce high quality work consistently because I will need to work in conjunction with other departments of companies and they would need my work to continue with their own.
